Sun April Holiday offer code crack attempt

I couldn't see anybody co-ordinating a code crack attempt for the magically 8th code. Assuming the booking website opens tonight that would give an opportunity of several hours before the paper is published tomorrow with the final token.

In order to speed up the process and reduce duplication I am suggesting that we split the word list up into 20 parts (approximately 275 codes). I have access to 3 PCs so can take the first 3 allocations. If people are willing to take part then post a reply and assign yourself the next section.

You will need need excel on your PC (don't know if it works with open office or other spreadsheets). The cracking spreadsheet can be found here, post #435 (and many thanks to the person who put the spread sheet together)

To use it,
Enter your priority booking code (part 1 and part 2 in the two seperate cells) and the 7 known codes

1.WISH
2.KIDS
3.HOLS
4.BARN
5.TIME
6.ACTS
7.MUST

Either change the line where you want the attempt to begin from to the one assigned or edit the word list on the second worksheet to only include the words that you are assinged.

Finally click the button to start the attempt and it will open a web page and connect to the booking web site and automatically start filling in the details.

I have not used the spreadsheet before but I suspect it will take one or two minutes per attempt so to go through your range of words will take several hours. Hopefully the website won't ban your IP if it sees multiple wrong attempts though I don't think this will happen as the code has been cracked before.

If you are successful the page will change to the one where you can start your actual booking.

At that point what I am suggesting as a good will gesture to the other people who are taking part in the attempt, send a PM to them and give them 1 hour to make their booking then after an hour post the code word on the forum.

Also if you manage to get through your word list without obtaining the keyword then post on here that your were unsuccessful.

I dont agree with the giving others checking an hour to book though. Its always just been posted as soon as its been cracked.

its up to you, personally I would like to give something back to the people who are willing to put some effort in. You will still get a whole evening over those waiting to buy the paper tomorrow or waiting for the somebody to post it from the paper.

I am happy to help with the code cracking. Does anyone have a link to the list of words, in case the spreadsheet doesnt work for me, I will then do it manually.

For those who have done it before, how long does it take to get through a list (assuming the code isn't found)? I'm happy to give it a go, never having done it before, but I have an autistic son and can't spend huge amounts of time on it (ie greater than say 1 hour)
