kwik fit,no help with MOT

People will never understand or learn . Kwik fit offers cheap mot's no profit for them here ...... But a failed mot car can and will earn them hundreds of pounds in repair job well done .

I once used Kwik-Fit about 20 years ago to replace the back box on my old MG Metro's exhaust. After waiting over an hour they told me it was ready, I took one look at it and asked why it was so small (it looked more like a pea-shooter :eek:) they told me it was the "new style", and being only 19 I took their word for it, paid and left. I drove half a mile down the road and realised something was not right, there was hardly any power (no quips about an MG Metro & power please ). So drove it straight back, spoke to the manager who looked at it and admitted it was the wrong back box, apologised and got someone to replace it straight away.

I have never used them since and never would again.

Surely the correct course of action is to contact VOSA and appeal the test result.

Changing two good tyres probably won't help ... sorry.

If you have an mot test anywhere and think that it shouldnt have failed on something then ask for an appeals form. Vosa will then get involved and if the garage is having you over will get inspected and they wont want that.

Please remember that you will have to turn up to an appeals inspection without doing any repairs on the vehicle
