  • With old rules there are different reasons for giving a nil assessments to cs2 cases. Could be worth asking the Csa what the assessment would be on new rules.

Yes sorry I made assumption it was CSA2. My bad.
I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."
Mortgage is my only debt - Original mortgage - January 2008 = £88,400, March 2014 = £47,000 Chipping away slowly! Now saving to move.

Can't believe it has taken me so long to get around to sorting this out, seems like it was only a few weeks ago!

They have written and told me that he is in receipt of benefits (again - sounds to me like he jacked his job so how he keeps on getting JSA is beyond me). However they have also identified a period of nearly 2 years that is unaccounted for. They have given him a deadline to respond with a reason why, otherwise they will pursue with HMCE. I'm not holding my breath, but I am suprised that they do not have a record of this if he has been assessed as having nil to pay at least once a year. Unfortunately I don't have the letters, I chucked them. So, will wait and see whether they assess that he should have been paying something. Of course I'm not going to get a penny as he is under old rules, but I might have grounds for complaint if I could have been receiving money but haven't.

In any event I bet he is !!!!!!!! himself at being investigated so it was worthwhile doing just for that. It may sound petty but he has had holidays abroad while I have been juggling to make sure DS has got everything he needs.
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o
