Website development required

I have a very basic website up and running for my retail business. I want to get the website working for me better. All work on it to date has been done my me albeit very slowly - I don't come from a html programming background.
My plan for the website is to build a database attached to it so that I store customer enquiries. Customers will interface to this database via a website form. My question is, how do write all of this in html?
I'd also like to add items of stock with photos and short descriptions to the site aswell. How do I do this in html?

Are there any website developers reading this that have template that I could use? Any developers that can help me? Can't really offer to make you rich, but I can offer to teach you or your children German instead.

To use a database back end you will need to use some kind of scripting language such as php, asp or asp.net. Which one you use probably depends on who you get to write it and what hosting factilities you have available.

Get yourself a copy of Larry Ullman's "PHP and MYSQL for Dynamic Web Sites" which is fantastic for teaching yourself how to do this - there are some great examples and code samples.
