Accomodation in Lanzarote (Advice Please)

Myself and 4 friends are looking to go to Lanzarote in July as we have found a good deal on flights.

However we need accomodation! We would like to stay in Puerto del Carmen I think as we want to go some where quite lively and have found a hotel that sounds good, it is 4* Hotel San Antonio, I have tried to book this on Med Hotels but it will not allow me to book 2 rooms with 3 adults in 1 room and 2 in another!

Therefore can anyone recommend any other Accomodation only websites that I may be able to book this through or indeed to book any place to stay in Lanzarote please?

Also any advice on Lanzarote would be great?

Thank You :)

www Alpharooms.com do accept 3 adults in that hotel. If your tour operator is cheaper,
try ringing them, rather than booking online so they can override that rule.Or ring the
hotel direct and see what they can do.

Hotel San Antonio is a little way out of the action if thats what your going for but it is close to a good selection on pubs (Irish Bars) The Riu hotel is nice too that ones not far from the San Antonio if you have problems getting in.
Good idea of Tony's ..ringing the hotel and telling them the rate you have got through Medhotels or Alpharoom they will often beat it but remember doing that way you have no protection if you get there and they have over booked which in high season is a strong possiblity your up the river without a padlle. At least with Medhotels you have a rep in resorts so any problem with your hotel you have a point of contact
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

Have you thought about a private villa with your own pool, we did that a couple of years ago and stayed in the Villa Don Rafael which is on the outskirst of Puerto del Carmen, about 20 mins walk to main busy centre, and 10 minutes to harbour. We booked accommodation and flights together, so I dont know if you can book the villas on their own. The villa had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and it was lovely to have our own pool.

Puerto del carmen is split in to two parts, the main busy strip which is full of bars and restaurants with plenty of night life, and the harbour which is really quaint and has some very good restaurants which we found to be cheaper than the busy part and has a few bars, some with entertainment.
    Waddle you do eh?
  • I would try Puerto del Carman you have the old town with very nice fish restaurants in the harbour and then you have the new with bars for young and old and as fishhawks days look for a private villa. The old part is very good at christmas all the staff dress up and make a real big fuss.

    Hello little_jem

    You could try
    http://www.holidayroomsdirect.com/
    http://www.holidayhotels.com/index.php

Both are very good and offer protection on any money paid.

Have you tried getting a price for three in one room and then starting again for the price for two in a seperate room.
Lanzarote is a great place to visit although I have not been to Puerto del Carmen.I to have found some excellent prices for lanzarote flights and I,m also looking for accomodation on this wonderful island. There are some great deals out their but do make sure you have a look at http://www.holidaysuncovered.co.uk/ before booking. This is a great site for finding out what the accomodation and area is like before you book it.Good luck on your search and have a great holiday.

    Hello shropslad
Going by your users name I would have a guess that you are from Shropshire. If so have a look at Thompson flights from Cardiff from early July. They are coming out at a very good price (I think) roughly at about £119 return plus taxes.Hope this helps.

I have just had a look on the Thompson web site and the prices flying from Cardiff are £129.00 on the 03/07/2005 for fourteen nights and £104.00 flying from Gatwick on the 30/06/2005 for seven nights. This includes all taxes. :-)
