We have just received a quote of £1800 for having electric supplied to a shed and summer house in the garden which to us seems very high. Is this expensive or are we just naive where electrican prices are concerned?
The quote includes:
-Supply & Wire supply to shed via 10mm SWA cable.
-Supply & Wire of 2x 4 way consumor units (One replacing existing 3 wayboard in Kitchen and one in the shed).
-Supply & Wire of 6 double sockets to feed freezer, washing machine, tumbledryer and various other socket outlets.
-Supply & Wire of 3 double sockets to summer house.
-Supply & Wire of lighting and switch in the shed.
-Inspection, Testing & Certification.
Thanks for any comments

Impossible to say without knowing how long the cable is and how it's going to be run - trenching is labour intensive and thus expensive.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
