ppi advice

Just wanted some advice, took out a joint loan and paid for ppi which only covered myself and it was paid at the start of the loan, then had to declare bankruptcy with only 12 months left on the loan and loan was written off in my name but had to be paid by the joint party. the ppi was for £6000 and loan was fully repaid.
does anyone know what the chances of trying to reclaim the ppi back would be ?
Just thought I would check all options
thanks
