Ok. I know i can get info from dwp etc re wat SHOULD happen. I'd love to hear what REALLY happens. I am currently receiving income support (with a disability component as i didn't have enough stamp paid to qualify for incapacity) full housing benefit and council tax benefit child tax credit and dla. I'm at the end of recovery from a breakdown so ideally would start off working part time n then increase hours.

Best bet would to look at what training courses are available for you to work in the sector? Is there anything there which would give you an advantage to apply for a job?
Secondly, even though its not compulsory for you, the job centre may be able to advise on courses which they think are relevant, to enable you to find work in that sector.0 -
I am really more interested in what Will happen to my benefits esp as most jobs are paid a month in arrears. I am worried about being stuck financially as i only just manage as it is.0

How long have you been receiving those benefits? Sometimes there's a certain duration which triggers follow on benefits when a claimant starts work.
Are you a lone parent?0
