new boiler - viessmann boiler reviews

Hi, my partner and I have just bought our 1st new house. We've been getting quotes in for a boiler and new gas central heating system. One of the heating engineers has recommended a viessmann boiler - it's not the cheapest we've been quoted but it comes with 5 years parts and labour guarentee. Just wandered if anyone on here has had one of these boilers or knows anything about them or would recommend a different one. We also have quotes for Ideal Logic and Worster Boch.
I don't mind paying more if it means getting a better product but i obviously don't want to pay over the odds either.
Thanks for any advice.

I am an employee of British Gas but all views i write are personal and not a reflection of my employer.

They're good boilers but you need to be sure that you have an installer who knows them. Sounds like you do. A 5 year warranty is always something worth having. Usually it means you have an approved fitter (has been on a short training course, but at least its something) although sometimes they run promotions offering longer warranties on some products.0

Viessmann and WB are both good premium brands. Forget Ideal though!
As above, the boiler is only as good as the installer. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Hi: my OH has been installing and servicing Viessmann products for 5+. He has been happy with the products and manufacturer's support/training.
Which Viessmann model have you been quoted?
Ideal:eek: Worcester Bosch...aluminium heat exchanger...if you must go for the CDi rather than their cheaper products.
More on what to expect in a quote etc here.
