Some advice over electricity switch when not living in property
I am not currently living in my flat. I hope to be moving out in about 3 months and will not be living there in the meantime.
I pay £36 per month to npower for economy 7 electric on sign online 23. Under this tarriff I have to pay a daily standing charge.
Of course I would be saving more on my electric if I didn't have the standing charge. Although I will incur a penalty of £20 if I switch as my contract doesnt expire until Novemeber.
I have tried putting my details into comparison sites but nothing makes sense. My question is, is it really worth swapping for me with only 3 months until I move. Not sure if it is financially viable. Any help appreciated.

With an n'power contract, it may be worth suffering the Standing Charge to it's end as most have their tariffs have a £100+ cash back after 12 months, provided you have paid 12 consecutive Direct Debits - Look at the small print to see when your cash-back is due0
