Share dividends

In 1999 I got some shares in Thus Group Plc, and in 2006 these were consolidated on a one for ten basis, but I have never received any dividends. Can anyone tell me if this is correct, or should I have been getting dividends since 1999. I originally got the Thus shares through having some shares with Scottish Power
