What to do if SAR letter is ignored but cheque cashed?

Hi,
a few credit card companies and 'Barclayloan' have received my SAR letters, cashed the cheques but are over 14 days over the 40 day limit to send me the info i asked for.
Please can someone tell me the next action to take?
Thank you.

Ignore PPI disgrace - he just wants you to think he can add value (which he can't).

    Two options:

    1) Contact the Information Commissioner.

    2) Complete the FOS form and bung the complaint in anyway. Add an additional complaint that they have cashed your cheque but not replied within 40 days.

I would probably do the latter - it indicates that you have tried to establish whether you had a valid complaint first but they have failed to follow the rules.

click 'spam' on ppidisgrace, and listen to magpiecottage. Would it not be worth doing both the suggestions above?

Thanks for the answers (two of you).
    I will do both.

Before i do, can you just help me?
I was always under the impression that you should always do the SAR letter before completing any claim forms just so you can have 'evidence', so to speak? IE- my worry has always been that without the proof, the bank/credit card company may claim that there was no PPI with the loan?

Is that not a possibility or is it that even banks dare not 'lie' regarding a PPI claim?

If a bank tells you there is no PPI on the loan then you can request the information with a Sar anyway, so it is not in their interest to "lie"

Do as the other posters recommended.
If you need proof that you actually paid PPI then I would report the banks to the ico, it is possible the Sar info is on it's way, report them anyway.

Or just put the claims in.
