PCN from Newcastle City Council

Just received a PCN from Newcastle City Council while I stopped for a few minutes to pick up a bulky item from Argos.

Here is a street view link of where I had parked. Not sure if the markings are legal or not. I can remember there being a taxi bay as well which isn't on street view so might have changed slightly.

I'm going to go back tomorrow to have a proper look at the area and take some photos.

Here is the PCN I received...

I hadn't even been parked 5 minutes when it was issued. As you can see the time on the PCN is 16:22. I have an Argos receipt with 16:20 on and I was straight in and out. The traffic warden was still there when I got back to the car. Although he had started walking away.

PCN looks OK as such, as far as the wording is concerned. Doesn't mean you can't appeal and win though, as most people do if they take it far enough.

Maybe you were in a loading bay. Maybe one that suggests only 'goods vehicles' can park there.

But you were loading (not shopping?) so you can appeal on that basis. And there are arguments about many cars being 'goods vehicles' if loading...
