I'm gonna be replacing ym laptop soon so figured i might aswell have a go at getting it to work a bit better agian first. the backlight became very dim after about 8 months, got it repaired and then it happened again and it's been like that since, a guy that sells pc components told me a backlight should generally last around 15,000-20,000 hours of use. The same guy also suggested that it was equally, if not more, likely that the problem was the connections running from the base of the laptop through the hinges to the screen. If that's the issue then it would just be a case of sorting them, how easy would this be to do, am i likely to destroy the laptop and is there any precautions i should be taking? thanks
