Environmentally friendly wipes with dispence easily

Pampers work perfectly where it sticks just right so that you can pull one out and the next one just pops out half way ready for you to grab the next one .. all a one hand action. But I don't want to use pampers but want a eco friendly biodegradeable with little/no chemical version.

Tried nature bott's & also EarthFriendly Baby's make of baby wipes but when you pull one out the other one is not dispence ready for you to pull the second one.

Nature botts just stick together and you have to use both hands to separate them.

Earth Friendly baby's does not stick at all and you have to use both hand to get the other one out.

Are you using cloth nappies? How about using cloth wipes and a home-made wipes solution - then you can just throw the wipes in the washing macine with the nappies? I sometimes used plain water and sometimes warm water with a drop or two of good olive oil - you can also use a solution made from warm water and a camomile tea bag.

I also use washable towelling wipes and warm water and wash them with cloth nappies. Find them really good. I use disposable wipes when I'm out and about and I now almost hate using them because of the chemicals etc against baby's skin (and environmental impact). You can buy washable wipes on Ebay, think they work out at about 20p each. Or you could make your own I guess.

The 'corner' shop near me is a co-op and they sell there own brand bio-degradeable wipes and they are very very good, not too wet, strong and they pop up and also are frangrance free.

  • i'm probably being thick - are you using them in a plastic box? if so would using your favourite wipes in the pampers plastic box work? i use the same plastic box and just refill it with the brand of wipes i like. i tried a few plastic boxes until i found the perfect one.

You guessed it right .. i am using the papmers box and trying out oyher wipes.

When using the washable wipes with water + oliveoil.. how long does it last? So I am assuming that you keep it in an air tight container. Does it go off after two days & you have to make up a fresh batch of wep wipes?

    I have just found this
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BNIP-Green-Baby-Organic-Washable-Wipes-x12_W0QQitemZ170074843987QQihZ007QQcategoryZ45456QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

when you make the wipe solution.. do you store that sepaterly and then spray it onto the wipe when using them? Or do you mix it with the cloths & store them in an air tight container for weeks/days???

    thanks.

I tried lots of different wipe solutions that you make yourself to use with towel wipes and in the end I found the thing that worked best was warm water. Kinder on the skin and you don't end up having to worry about the solution keeping either.
