Belkin router issues

Hi,
I have a belkin router and have on the advice of good people here downloaded inSSIDer and changed channel to 1. However it often defaults to Auto and interferes with other networks making browsing nigh impossible.
Could anyone tell me how to prevent it from defaulting to auto, please?

When does it default to Auto? Are you switching it on and off and it then defaults at start up?
If so, leave it switched on 24/7, which is what it should be on-the power drain is minimal on a router.

Thanks, the model is N150. Indeed it is on 24/7. It defaults at random times and sometimes when I restart my pc.

You could try a firmware upgrade, otherwise I'd be looking at a new router.

Thanks, I have checked, downloaded and applied update to firmware. Hopefully will be sorted.Will update.
