Sun Holidays - recommendations for Cornwall/S Devon?

Hi,
Just wondering where people would recommend for a family of 4 (children are 12 and 10). Don't mind if there aren't a lot of facilities but would like a nice clean place (chalet or caravan but not tent) where we will be comfortable. We can always drive to beaches etc. We prefer to make our own entertainment as the 10yo has Asperger Syndrome and doesn't like organised activities such as kids clubs.
We are spending a week at Woolacombe the week before, just looking to extend the holiday a bit longer... we have a priority code so looking to book a Sun holiday.
TIA

Devon cliffs is a lovely site. I think it's one of haven's flagship ones and it is one we would like to go back too. The pool is great
and it's very close to the beach. It has a starbucks and i believe they are adding on some more food outlets. We dont do 'entertainment' either, but like to use the pools and a bowling alley on site.
From memory i think there is a restuarant
on the beach, but it wasn't open when we there, as it was in october.

hi we have stayed at devon cliffs too. it is very close to the beach , but it is quite a steep path down and then back up again, but nice. we didnt really eat on site but chose to go out the main gate to the 1st pub on the right- looks like a thatched cottage,v lovely to sit in the main garden eating and chilling out on a summer night. lots of rabbits running around which the kids loved to watch from the caravan at night. there is also some kind of farm park right next door.
personally we prefereed north devon (croyde) as it seemed to have more attractions in the area big sheep was fab. dont bother with exmoor zoo tho- what a waste of money0 -
Thank you both, that helps
. We love the Big Sheep too, tend to go there most years, love the sense of humour
, and the kids love "betting" on the sheepy Grand National

can also vouch for devon cliffs, lovely site and great pool etc, we have also been too perran sands in cornwall and thats a nice sight (also a flagship haven site if i remember rightly!) and lots to do locally and newquay only a few miles away etc
been to both these sites through sun holidays and like them both that much that we went backthrough haven to perran sands four years running and devon twice! 0 -
Thank you! My only concern with Devon Cliffs is getting up and down to the beach. Well that, and if its a big site, there's more opportunity to lose our son...
One beach we know and have been to before is Polzeath. Does anyone know what the St Minver Holiday Park is like? Reviews don't seem too bad on Tripadvisor...0 -
We really like Sea Acres in Cornwall and Challaborough in Devon - they seem relatively small sites and near the beach. Sea Acres is near Kennack Sands which is fab and Challaborough has a beach and is right near Burgh Island (of Agatha Christie fame).

Riviera Sands, excellent location and nice park. Devon Cliffs, again excellent and generally all haven parks. Hendra in Cornwall, lovely park but pool entrance costs extra.Hi,

Well, tried really hard to get one of your suggestions, and none of them had availability! What we DID get was Landscove, at Brixham, which is a Park Holiday. Anyone been there please, any advice/tips? Reviews on Tripadvisor look a bit mixed...0
