hi everyone got majorly trouted yesterday went to up$$r b^at store and saw a big yellow sign sayin the gilette razors were better than half price at £3 there were none on the stand so we went down the normal razor aisle and picked them up from there went to pay along with our other items and low and behold we were charged 9.99 each took them back to cs who went to check the sign and she came back and said yes u have been overcharged she was in the middle of doin the refund when we got a tap on the shoul;der from the security guard asking where we picked them up from my husband said it was none of his business but he proceeded to take us over to hte camera thingys they look at at the front of the store and showed us footage of us picking them up in the normal aisle not where the offer sign was...tried to argue that it doesnt say anywhere on their policy that the product has to be picked up from the promotional stand but they were not having any of it ...my heart was beating faster than god knows what lol but ended up leaving with the razors having paid full price for them....they were obviously following us around the store with the camera...we havent even had that many dtd from there 3 max since we started .....anyone have any advice shud we take it further or take it on the chin......was so embarassed

    :eek::eek::eek: That's my local!:eek::eek::eek:

I was in there last night too, I thought I had found 4p socks but they scanned at £1.50...:( Well they scanned at £1.50 on SS till as their scanners are still broken :(:( oops please can I cancel these lol!

CS are not good there, I had a battle there recently with a DTD but got there in the end and I was carping myself too!

That's quite worrying though hope you get it sorted...

With the new price flops there is a £1 off apples and a £1 wys £5 on fruit could these two be used together to get £2 off the £5 spend? Would this work ?

Braeburns are on offer 2 bags for £2.50 so four bags for £5 minus £2 price flops - 75p a bag :T - brilliant if this works. Great as part of a conditional spend shop as well :D

I feel a bit daft reading these posts and getting a bit upset thinking about mine. I'm at the other end of things. She'll be 4 next school year and I want to get her in pre-school before she starts full time. I just don't want to think about not having her around all the time. Other mum's think I'm a bit weird as I'm the only one who doesn't have any childcare. She's sat across from me cutting and colouring things and it feels like I'm counting down the days we have left together. I know - I sound all dramatic, especially considering what you're talking about.

Awww don't feel daft or dramatic, its natural!! I know what you mean, DS has never been in childcare and I am scared by the whole thing! DS turns 3 in July and starts pre-school this sept...:( I was fine with the idea of it all until we visited the pre schl we applied too...I came home and cried to OH...just had this sick..empty feeling.

I spoke to my friend about it (her daughter goes to a different pre-schl but the one DS is going to is one she looked at) and she said that honestly it was one of the best pre-schls around and she would have sent her daughter there had the hours been more suitable and it made me think that I was being a little over sensitive and ridiculous..after all it is only 3 hrs a day and they don't even have to do a full week if you don't want them too.

She reminded me how fab it will be for him to have lots of little frends and to just do his own thing and to experience a 'school like setting', as well as allowing me to have a break. It is a lovely pre-school..lovely children all playing nicely, really nice ladies working there..ds loved it when we visited.. but I just keep thinking, the poor little mite, what if they don't notice him falling over/or know what to do with him...they are not going to love him like I do...

but then realistically I think when he has to grow up at some point and I want to ease him into school, its just a sudden realisation that my baby has grown up and is going to become a more independent little boy.

You will be fine tho! I am sure it will just take some getting used to for both you and your dd. Have you looked round any pre-schools? x

Latest up-date on Tom and Misha from Born Free .. Tuesday 15th May. An update in from Jeff confirms another sighting of Tom, who is looking good and displaying good, natural behaviours. Tom is still near the island of Samos and a local contact has confirmed that there is a good supply of mullet in the area, so this could explain his liking for this spot. Meanwhile, satellite indicates that Misha is about 30 miles away. Depending on the weather, the team hope to get a visual on Tom in the morning and they may then travel in the direction of Misha, who is moving around a lot within an area where there are believed to be many other dolphins. There is still a way to go yet, but these early indications remain encouraging.

God your store sounds awful! Our t's is so understaffed they don't have the time to argue any dtd's as the queues are always so long as CS and no where near enough staff to cope with the amount of complaints lol.....thats awful that they have got the security men to try and identify people getting dtds tho...surelly could mean the security man could alert t's to take down any ood sels before the customer trys to get a dtd which is not right at all! Can understand them following people on cameras with suspicous activity but, if you pay at the till and then go to customer service surelly its none of their buisness as your not theiving!

    :hello:Afternoon to the lovely Elite:hello:

I did manage to catch up [STRIKE]last night[/STRIKE] this morning :o:o:o:p on yesterday's shenanigans but I had no time to post as shamefully the birds were singing when I eventually fell into bed

Been busy doing bits and pieces today and just returned home from a bus trip returning something to M's (not my local;)) that nicely brought up my total for a cond spend :TThe store is a little way from the bus stop, so had a lovely walk in the sunshine and made me :D

Nipped in the docs on the way home to book the 1st of my numerous blood tests I shall be expecting in the coming months :( Still it's nothing new and atleast if anything goes a wry it will be detected fairly quickly :) Starting new tabs today, a wee bit scary

Anyway I thought I'd post first before catching up because Mr Posty paid me a visit this morning with some pressies :T My peanut butter kit kat chunky :T anddddd socks courtesy of the wonderful Nikkilala (thought you'd appreciate the pink Nikki ;):D) They are fab, thank you so much :Axxxxxxxx Also loving the HK notelets, I've got pink ones with HK as a ballerina on them :T:rotfl:

I went to T's last night to use up a great till spit I have....buy Ariel detergent with Ariel stain remover and save £3.50. Ariel 25 wash was £4 til yesterday and there is a stain remover spray half price at £2.22 so a fabby price.....except the stain remover wasn't there :( Silly me left it too long and now the Ariel is back up to £7.39 :(

I haven't noticed much on my travels bar the [STRIKE]Tetley teabags 160pk bogof at T's [/STRIKE] (fail! just checked ad price increase from £3.01 to £4.30 overnight :mad:) and in M's; Kelloggs cornflakes 750g are 2 for £4 but there is a large display in my local with 33% extra free boxes :T So 2 x 1kg boxes for £4 :D

There's still a box of Aero Lambs in my T's! And a lonely TPO on the single choc bars display! I didn't have the nerve to go through SS with them last night because it's an SA I see a lot but maybe tonight ;) Scanner is still broken though

Hope everyone's having a lovely sunny day :Axxx
