I feel a bit daft reading these posts and getting a bit upset thinking about mine. I'm at the other end of things. She'll be 4 next school year and I want to get her in pre-school before she starts full time. I just don't want to think about not having her around all the time. Other mum's think I'm a bit weird as I'm the only one who doesn't have any childcare. She's sat across from me cutting and colouring things and it feels like I'm counting down the days we have left together. I know - I sound all dramatic, especially considering what you're talking about.

You don't sound dramatic at all. I didn't have any childcare for my 3 DDs except for couple mornings of pre-school each week and know exactly where you are coming from. As an introduction to pre-school is there a mother and toddler group you could go to, I know this may sound daft but I used to run one and they are meant to cater for ALL preschool children and their parents/carers. You may already do something similar with your DD, it gives them a chance to get used to the idea of pre-school with you still around and very often make friends with children that they will go to school with. ;)

I always think that not only are our children growing up when these things are due to happen like pre-school, school and uni but we are doing a bit more growing up ourselves going through the experiences.

Would like to share this one with you DD2 cried her eyes out when ever I left her at pre-school very upsetting for me and did not want to put her through it but always when I went back to pick her up you could tell by peeking through the window she was having a great time. And all those years later as Nikki remembered she cried her heart out in the shower at the thought of going to uni even said "Are you really going to leave me here?" once we got her there. And again when she went back after Christmas. But after the initial seperation in both cases she gets over it and has a great time. DD1 on the otherhand has always embraced being apart with no problem at all from a very young age which I found equally upsetting as when she went to uni, I felt as if she was glad to get away but she can't feel like that as she has come back. ;)

Good luck with finding a good pre-school, make sure you get her name down very soon if you find one you like. :)

EDIT: looking online I can't see half the things in the meal deal. So maybe placed there my mistake or offer ended. Worth checking none the less.

Thanks, it's driving me nuts. :( Their website has never been great for people using Macs/Safari.:(

I could book the journey on the Citylink website but it would cost me £1 instead of 50p.

    Go on, break the bank!!:rotfl:

Bear in mind emulsion is alot thinner than gloss so more care needed around carpeted area's.

Suggests 2 inch wide, 1/2 hour masking tape and a good dusting where area's meet, stopping the dust and bits getting onto brush and into paint.

Also recommend keeping a damp cloth handy, to mop up any little spatters as you go along.

Cheers for that frequent, I'll definitely give it a go - probably need more than a damp cloth handy - DS (3yo) is insistent on 'helping'
