Love the photos Neosi, just noticed your signature and it reminded me of a conversation I overheard at Edinburgh airport a group of suits were talking about someone and said

'He is such a bad manager that people follow him out of morbid curiosity'

    It made me laugh:grin::grin:

Perhaps the suits were all T's Managers :)

Celebrate posted this site a while back... might be useful:
    http://www.supermarketspecialoffers.com/TescoOffers.aspx

We keep a list on the freezer with dates to show what is in there, and every few weeks we make a giant menu of how many family meals we have in there.

Thank you so much for your post :) I have now written down all the items in my freezer... I will now begin with project meal planning!

Hi Barking - I like to be organised too. In the good old voucher days it was like a military campaign getting ready to go shopping !

The photosleeve idea sounds like a good one.

I know exactly what you mean with the whoopsies. I find it really hard, even when I know my freezer is rammed, not to casually stroll past the reduced chiller and have a look.

The only way I manage to avoid it is to try to apply the "do you REALLY need this & have you got room for it" question. Doesn't always work, I have to say.

Other than that, I try to ration my actual number of visits to the store, so that I'm not tempted at all. That doesn't always work either.

Probably the most compelling reason for me to stop buying whoopsies that we don't always need is when our clothes are starting to pinch. I object to buying new clothes, and so I try to put the brakes on then, and haul us back into some kind of "normal" shopping/eating pattern.

Sorry, I'll stop rambling now. Hope this helps a bit.

You're right. Avoidance is the key. I think I have been over zealous with my bargain hunting, because it is so exciting, and we have never eaten so well for so little. So maybe I'll take the pressure off myself by restricting visits. Thank you so much for your helpful reply :)

Evening everyone, just about to catch up again but thought I'd tell you about me and Nannylalas trip to T's.She is now a member of the grape juice club:Twhich she is delighted about, but we also had some fun with the Aero Xmas trees. We went to check out the choccie aisle and their was a manager pushing a metal wire crate down the middle of the aisle and in the side of it was a box of aero Xmas trees:T:TSo we discreetly followed him and when he walked of grabbed one, scanned it and it was 1p and raced back to grab the box;)We tipped the box into my basket along with the 1p SEL that was in there;) And then brazenly scanned the lot, safe in the knowledge I had the SEL in my grubby little mitt so they couldnt argue the price;):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:573555910_o.jpg

Good evening, and a very good evening it is too. I can see you lot have been nattering again, shall go back and find out what it is all about.

Had to come on and say that, after nearly 2 weeks, my OH is finally home from hospital!

    smiley-bounce005.gifsmiley-bounce005.gifsmiley-bounce005.gif

Got a ways to go yet, but definitely on the road to recovery.

So glad to hear your OH is back home you must be so relived. I hope he feels a little better by being back home and hopefully you may be able to rest a little the journey sounded a nightmare.
