I thought that supply and demand maybe had something to do with market forces, but maybe I'm wrong. Or could it be you're wrong?Thrugelmir wrote: »Markets forces = credit contraction = either less or smaller mortgages available.0 -

Well he thought the reason for UK inflation was that that there was "excess money supply" thanks to QE.
Whereas in reality the money supply has contracted in the last year, despite QE.
He seems to be wrong about a lot these days.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

It's not these days, must be every day looking at his life...HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »He seems to be wrong about a lot these days.
Has he told you how he bought at the peak of the market just before the price falls in 2008 in the completely wrong area... Poor Thruglmeir, he has all the answers but it seems to all the wrong questions...
The funny thing is that Wtfster thanked him thinking he was right. This forum has some very dim individuals unfortunately.0 -

How about if you contribute to th discussion Explaining how market forces have nothing to do with demand and supply. It would be much better instead of trying to snipe because you're not coming across very intelligent but we knew that already though didn't we...0 -

Are you just plain stupid? You have a go at me for insulting you then you do exactly the same thing, in your broken semi-coherent English.0 -

As ultimately it all boils down to cash.
How the hell do you expect me to know where he got his cash from? But personally I don't think his empire is that big tbh, I can't imagine anyone living in a modest area (where your money goes even further) worth 1.5m having a full time job and also working as a taxi driver in his spare time (as I indicated above). Although he could be eccentric of course.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Supply/demand of property is only part of the picture. The government paying out so much in housing benefits has pushed up rents and with them house prices.
Take this subsidy away next year as planned and even if supply gets less and demand goes up, it matters not if not many can afford the high prices.
There could be a bunch of people wanting to live in every property available but if none of them can pay the high prices the property stays empty.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Doesn't bother me. Once the "I know better" lines start flying you know that desperation is creeping into the debate. Gives me no satisfaction to know that the other party is on the wrong track I should add. Finance isn't very complex in reality.0
