Phone/fax machine question

Hi guys.

Am being offered a phone/fax machine combo on Freecycle.

Will this generally be usable with any phone point in the house or are there restrictions as to the kind of connection?

I'll stick my neck out and say, none that I know of.

Just plug it in and away you go. If it doesn't come with a cable to attack to phone, make the one you buy is a fax/modem cable.

I can confirm it can be plugged into any phone point, it uses the phone line and does not need anything extra on it.
