Legoland Windsor

Hi we are planning on visiting Legoland this friday we are a party of two adults and two kids 8 and 5. I have the 2 for 1 tickets so will use them at the gate (would love to book online as it saves a bit! but don't think I can with the vouchers) so that the kids can get in free, but has anybody else got any tips on money saving there as we are on a tight budget any suggestions will be gratefully recieved xxx

    I've been Money Tipped!
We take our own drinks, drinks are more expensive than the food. If you eat after 3pm, then the meals are cheaper in some restaurants. Some of the children's meals are nearly as big as the adult meals, but are half the price and come with a drink and an apple. If you have someone with an annual pass (sounds like you don't) then in some restaurants - Knights Kingdom for instance, you get a free kids meal with every adult meal.

Take a bag of toffee popcorn with you if your kids like popcorn, then they are less likely to be tempted by the stuff they are selling onsite (works for my two!).

If you want to eat lunchtime, its worth going to the restaurants at 11:30 as by 11:45 they start to get busy VERY quickly. Although as you are going this Friday, rather than the weekend it might not be so bad!
  • Two biggest areas of expense are going to be food/drink and souvenirs. You can take your own lunch and drinks, there are plenty of places to picnic. Also in to the evening there are a few of the restaurants that do kids eat free after 5:30.

As for souvenirs, that is up to you.
  • Not sure of t&c on ticket but could you pay 1 adult get 1 free & 1 child get one free ?

Hi also check their parent and toddler deals. They normally offer a discount for an adult and child together.

I don't think so. For adult ticket I think you are allowed one offer.

You can't do it - you get one free entry with an adult ticket so its the kids that go free. The parent and toddler deals were good but only up to 3 - last year they didn't have an age limit on them - or at least by the end of the season they didn't.

My advice would be to take your own food and eat it in the queues! We tend to have a rucksack on someone's back that the other adult can dip into and hand each person a sandwich etc. Its cheap and it helps you get more out of the day.

Watch out for themed souvenir shops at the exit from certain rides - chances are the kids will find something in each one they can't possibly do without but pretty much all of it is in the big shop at the top which is good way of putting them off so they can think about what they really want.

If you want a treat onsite, then its worth getting say an icecream etc and watching the show around the lighthouse lake.

Does anyone know if legoland still do the parent and toddler offer? I cant see any links to the deal on their website.

Searches on google just show offers relating to 2010-11

    Any info appreciated. Thanks

Hello They are still doing parent and toddler tickets but only if booked in advance. i found details on the "ichild" website which asks you to ring and book in advance and quote 2012ichild. Price is £16 for a parent and toddler (3-5 years). It looks like it's only valid during the term time wekdays.

    Hope that's useful.
