Why do you say that? Not been impressed with Vailant.

Do a forum search on Baxi and decide for yourself.
You won't find many RGI's on here promoting them over WB, Viessmann and Vaillant.

    Cheaper than BAXI, and better.

Ultracom is about latest technology, Flexicom is about old plumbing friendly. If you don't know what you are doing, Flexicom is more forgiving. Larger bores in the heat exchanger means it is less likely to clog, but you should still have a filter.

    a) I currently have a Vailant Combi fitted in 1998 now broke & water flow ridiculous & never been that hot that you would need to add cold water
    b) The fitting of the BAXI is £500 less than a different quote for Valiant or Worcester.
    c) Sounds like the Glowworm might be an option
    d) What I am trying to establish is the difference in quality of each manufacturer & whether it is worth paying £400+ extra for a Valiant or Worcester. My thoughts are not but just want to be sure that BAXI & Glowworm are ok makes? Not at all impressed with existing Valiant that we have had since 1998.

OP: which specific Vaillant model do you have? The standard of the installation and annual servicing play a huge role in the lifespan/reliability of any condensing boiler. More here. Have any of the RGIs quoting on your installation been recommended to you by a source you trust?

As a Baxi owner, I would advise against Baxi: it can hardly go through one entire year without a breakdown. In addition, a Baxi engineer, who came to fix my boiler last time, suggested that I should have my 8 year old Baxi replaced as it is too "old"! He said that its burner (cost about £200 in part) has a life time of 2 years:-(

Can I put in a plug for Vokera. I have found my own and my parent's extremely reliable. I'd definately choose the same again.
