have you checked your paypal account to see if the payment has been processed, should say completed next to the item.0

i have had an email from paypal to say that i have paid for the item and it gives me a reciept and a receipt number but when i go on paypal history it says no recent items? so i am still not sure, perhaps because i payed with debit card it is not showing on paypal? i will go out later and get abank statement to see if payment has been taken.0

i wouldnt be worried yet, especially as your 5 days included the weekend
in the past i have taken up to a month to post out certain items, for whatever reason. i am also quite slow in communicating, but i have never not completed the transaction.
i have found this to be the case as a buyer aswell. the issue is that the seller cannot always find the time to ship/reply immediately.
i would only be worried if the item was expensive (£50+), or if the seller has low/poor feedback. even then, give it a few days, it will probably sort itself out0 -

A month  (in my best Noel Coward voice) ...you do realise you lose paypal seller protection if you don't ship within a week?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'm having the same trouble. I have only bought three items off ebay - first was COD, second shipped within a day however the third is now beginning to worry me.
Its not the cost of the item but I desperately need it by Saturday as its a costume for a party for my little boy. When I contacted the seller prior to the auction closing she said it would be posted first class on receipt of payment - payment has been made through paypal but I havent heard from the seller at all. I too have my acknowledgement from paypal and I too forgot the password but sorted a new password prior to paying.
Heard from seller today after two really polite emails. Reason for not posting was she could not get on paypal and couldnt get my address - item should arrive tomorrow. Is this reasonable?0 -

i havent really read the conditions of sellers protection - although i have made it a resolution to keep upto date with my ebay transactions and am now shipping a lot quicker!!
bargainjunky, i would chase up the seller, with a daily email and if you have the contact details, a phone call. just send them a friendly reminder, saying that you need it for the party on saturday. often this will spur them into action.
depending on when the payment was made, i would start a paypal claim by wednesday.
i would have thought it would be fair to demand any extra delivery costs be met by the seller if they leave it too late (eg special delivery 9am service) although convincing them to agree is a whole different thing!
if it is a trader then they are probably familiar with the need for having costumes in time for parties. i had to buy a last minute emergency fancy dress costume off ebay and i called the seller before bidding, they were used to it and shipped it for next day delivery0
