[FONT="]The advantage of using a pip box to post your items your item is guaranteed to fit in the large letter slot in the post office your item will not move like in jiffy bags etc This is based on royal mail new prices 2012 the savings on 2011 prices were much higher Save money on postage buy using a maxi pip box [/FONT][FONT="]347x246x21mm cost price each around 33p to 35p each depending on Qty ordered or you could save more by using an A4 pip box 320mm x 230mm x 21mm these are around 27p to 29p each depending on Qty ordered you can also save even more for smaller items buy cutting these boxes in half you will need to take away the box price from your savings but bear in mind you have no other packing cost as you close the lid write on the box and post hope this helps someone[/FONT]

That made me laugh
I think it's these PIP boxes they're advertising, although not sure what the difference is really....if your item fits in a pip box then surely it's small enough to go large letter no matter what packaging you put it in most of the time anyway

I've sold items in the past that have been borderline large letter/packet. Different post offices seemed to have their own rules about how items fitted though the slot they use - one was adament it had to "freefall" through the slot without touching the sides whereas another would accept it as large letter even if it took a while to get through the slot!
These boxes can therefore be useful for borderline items - such as clothing which can "expand" in a mailing bag.0 -

I use these, they're pretty good if you normally use a jiffy bag basically. They're exactly the right size to fit through as large letter and add less bulk to the item. Only problem is, you do have to void fill sometimes which of course is extra packaging cost.Paid off since 06/05/2012 £50/£4200 NSD May 3/10
