I know it's not very moneysaving but does it really matter. Even at the maximum for faster payment i.e £100K, one days interest even at 5% is only £13.

I opted for the Santander eSaver, which ended up increasing its rate of the same issue (5) from 3%, to 3.2% a few days after I opened it, so it now has the highest rate as well as 'instant' access.
    I came, I saw, I saved.

ING operate Faster Payments withdrawal automatically.
I thought there was a limit of a few hundred but I requested £20,000 to be moved to my current account 30 minutes ago & the final screen said it would be in my account by the end of tomorrow.

well i'll same some bad things about derbyshire BS. i opened a net saver by a £1000 cheque as directed, it took forever to appear in the account after leaving my current acc.

i needed to send some back to my current account due to an unexpected bill, i was going to do this anyway.

on the 3rd working day the money had not arrived in my current account so i had to phone up and ask !!!!!!! they said it was a failing on there part and if i tried again they promised it would be there end of next working day.

i was worried because if it was'nt i was screwed by the jubilee bank holidays. luckily it was ok but strike one for them.

i made a payment into the account yesterday bearing in mind next working day and all that, so i checked the balance tonight. I just noticed it says the balance it gives is previous working days. strike two.

Im thinking what kind of online service are they running, its BS! :D
The nominated account thing was a bit annoying too.

and im not waiting for strike 3, ive applied for a nice new santander esaver. better rate, should be better internet service i think. a good place to store emergency bill or future bill money.

I believe its more complicated from a perception point of view: Whilst some banks can send within seconds, it depends on the receiving banks systems as to how long it takes to receive, and that may also be confused by how long it takes to show in your online account.
