Travel Insurance - Travel Plan Online

Just looking to buy some travel insurance. I’ve looked at confused.com and the cheapest there is with “Travel Plan Online”. They are substantially cheaper than policies that I’ve bought in the past. Has anyone used them before????
I realise that cheap cover is fine as long as they are good if you have a claim. I want to save money of course :money: but want to feel confident that I’ve got a decent policy!

I would appreciate any advice.

    I assume you mean https://www.travelplandirectinsurance.com

Yes, I have used this company for many years - only had one small medical claim some years back and no problems, their prices for good comprehensive (family in our case) travel cover (+ wintersports) are very competitive.

HOWEVER, what you are really asking is: are you *guaranteed* to have no problem if YOU need to make a claim. No-one can tell. It depends on your claim situation and how this is handled on the day...

All insurers have to abide by the law and provide certain financial guarantees to the DTI to trade in the UK. The trouble with this sort of question is that there are plenty of people who have had good experiences with an insurance company and just as many who (believe they) have had bad - often the complaints are due to people thinking they should be covered for something they are not or assuming their loss is more than it really is.

Travel Plan have all their policy wording available to download online - read it carefully and check that they offer the cover you want. I think they are excellent value and very comprehensive and certainly MILES better than any cover I have seen offered by travel agents.
