Getting currency on a credit card

Sorry if this should be in a holiday thread!

Basically I wondered if anyone knows, if I buy a loaded cash passport card on a credit card.

cashpassport.com/1/en/thomascook

Would that come off some sort of cash allowance and thus have mega high APR?

Or does it just come as a purchase which I could get 0% on.

Cheers

Personally I think the word "cash" is a bit of a giveaway :-)

If you start an application (from the url you quoted) you're presented with...
There are no card handling fees charged if you choose to pay by Debit Card or Visa Credit Card. If you wish to pay by MasterCard Credit Card, we will levy a handling fee of 1.5% of the order value (min £4.00 - max £15.00). This will be shown within your order summary. If you choose to pay by either MasterCard, Visa Credit Card or Visa Debit Card, your card issuer may apply a cash advance charge which will be shown separately on your Credit Card/Bank statement
Whilst it doesn't expressly answer your question (due to their use of the word "may"), it should prompt you to ask your credit card provider.

However, even they may not know because it depends on how the transaction is processed by "R. Raphael & Sons plc", ie will they use a cash 'merchant category code' (MCC)? My guess, like the replies you've received so far, is yes.
