Payments to Santander accounts via the post office.

Hey :-)

Does anyone know how long it will take money paid into a Santander account at the post office to actually go into my Santander account?

It's instant for cash (you can perform a balance enquiry before you leave to post office) only former Alliance & Leicester accounts permit deposits at the post office

Any other Santander accounts do not appear to permit deposits at the post office (except business banking - which I do not know the timescales for)

Cheers :-) Mine is a former Alliance and Leicester account, but now has a Santander Debit Card and has been upgraded to the Premier Account (the one that you pay £20 a month for and get breakdown cover etc).

I'll give it a go and see if it works, if its instant for cash then that will make things SO muchy more convenient!
