in Credit cards
I have two credit cards that I originally got for 0% BT, however since the promotional period has ended, there has been spending on the cards too. The balances now total around £7k.
As I see it, I have three options:
(a) take out a loan to wipe out the cards as I doubt I'll get a new 0% BT card with a sufficient enough credit limit to pay both off
(b) get in touch with the card companies and ask them to freeze the interest - would they even do that?
(c) get in touch with the card companies and offer them a confirmed minimum payment each month - would they even do that?

Or option d), try for another card and transfer what you can.
Then stop spending and start paying the expensive debt off.
b) and c) will probably trash your credit rating and a) is unlikely and potentially dangerous.0 -
what's your financial situation ?
why are you contemplating this?0 -
Option d) sounds good.
I'm not on a fantastic wage and every time the statements come in about 80% of the minimum payment is just interest. I'd also like to (for the first time ever) start saving towards Christmas rather than panicking by the time I get my October and November salary and going overdrawn.Getting older is inevitable, growing up is optional :rotfl:0
