Laptop with power point on left

Hi,

I am looking for a new laptop. It needs to have the power point for the AC supply on the left (on the left as you have it open facing you).

My toshiba is on its last legs and has the point on the right. I think Packard Bells have it on the right? Are there any other brands I can look at which have the point on the left?

Cheers:beer:

My Asus (X54H Series) has the power plugged in on my left, as I face it.

    Hope that helps :)

I use it mainly on the sofa and sit on the left, OH on the right and he can't/won't move. This way the cable doesn't stretch across the computer and cause issues.

    Thanks all.

One of my Toshiba Satellites has it on the left, the other on the right. My MacBook Air has it on the left.

Of course, if you're buying a new laptop, the position of the charge port should be irrelevant, as the battery should hold sufficient charge for you to use it without it being plugged in (leaving a laptop plugged in continually will drastically reduce battery life)
How do I add a signature?

I'm using an HP Pavilion DM1 netbook (11.6" screen) and the power point is on the left.

I suggest you find a laptop you like the look of and then view the user manual on their website.

Acer Aspire 5542 - power jack on the left! Out of interest, I did find that the Toshiba we have (power on the right) meant that the power jack wasn't part of the motherboard (as it it is on the Acer) - it is a cable that plugs into the motherboard. easier to replace if needed and seems less vulnerable to getting damaged/worn as seems to happen to the ones that are soldered to the motherboard.
