I am with Barclays but would like to change as I start a job today, I will only be getting about 800 month, I have no idea if I will go in the red as yet, so dont know what to do, shall I wait and see if I go in the red or should I change now

Why do you want to switch from Barclays to somewhere else?
You say you don't know if you will go in the red, do you not have a monthly budget? If not, then I suggest you do this asap.
