Check the spark plugs and see if oil is leaking around the seals.
I had a 1.4 Golf and it was the valve seals. The car ran fine, couldn't see any noticeable difference in performance or driving, only that the spark plug holes gradually started to fill up with oil.
10/10 Liam. Spark plug hole is full of oil. Looks like the mystery is solved. Question is now how much to repair or do we look to drop a new engine in it entirely?0
