No payment

Today was supposed to be the first time I recieved ESA payment after migrating from IB, no money has gone into my account. I want to ask if anyone else has had payment problems the first time, I will of course phone them when they open but from past experience I have either been told by a robot that all operators are busy and my call cannot be taken, or been left hanging on for about 30 mins.
If its a regular occurance for people I wont be so worried as I will know its a mistake they make for everyone and not just me

I've just swapped from IB and my payments go in on a tuesday instead of the monday. They told me this would happen so hopefully yours should be in your bank tomorrow :-)0

Ah thankyou for that, hopefully thats the answer, they didnt say anything to me about different days but I guess they forget to tell people everything.not all on benefits are scroungers and don't need to be bullied!0

Everyone's payments will go in on different days. Just because someone else has migrated from IB and theirs goes in on a Tuesday, doesn't mean that yours will as well.
If you were due to receive a payment today, then it should go in today.
Telephone them at 9 o'clock and explain the situation. I've had problems before where they've made changes to the claim and had to arrange for deductions from my money etc. This has meant that my payment wasn't released overnight on Wednesday, in order to reach my account on Monday.
Where this happens, they can make a 'same day' payment into your bank account.
Although having to ring an 0845 number and being left to hold is annoying, I would do it today. Hopefully, once the first payment is processed and paid, you shouldn't have any problems in the future.0 -

All sorted now thankyou:) I thought I would phone at 8, I watched the clock tick by and as soon as it reached dead on 8am I was on the phone, still was put on hold for 20 mins:eek: how can they be so busy when they only just open.not all on benefits are scroungers and don't need to be bullied!0 -
I wouldn't mind as much if it was a freephone number. My phone bill was huge around the time my claim for ESA first went in.
At least it's sorted now, and it's helpful to know they open at 8! I've always waited until 9.0
