bt anytime 0845 calls not free

I am cheesed off :eek:to see that on my BT Anytime plan bill 08456 numbers are charged for whereas all the blurb says calls to 0845 are free.

I've queried.

All 0845 calls are normally inclusive whatever the fifth number is unless you exceed 60 minutes on a call, or its a dial-up internet call to ISP, or your calling a dial-through or calling card access number.

Inclusive calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers. p.s. these calls are not free, you pay for them via line rental plus any package add on, try not paying that and your "free" calls will stop.

BT advise me they class this 08456 as an indirect no., as was used for Internet dial ups; it wasn't!
Can only think it was a call to Playcom, who operate out of Jersey, and it's some sort of internal divert. However their site still says all 0845 numbers free on anytime package

They do not say free, they say inclusive as my post above yours demonstrates.
