# = my pound sterling??

sorry if this is a really lame question - but my Dell died in december & I had to ring their helpline in India - she got it going again after starting the whole thing from scratch - but I'm left with # as my pound sterling & when I use my email address instead of the @ sign when I input my email address I gotta use the 2 button shifted, which also means i cant use the speech marks which is actually notated on the 2 button - HELP!!
