I've bought quite a few things through Quidco. The kids get their DVD's, CD's and PS2 games from play so I order via Quidco. I've also renewed my House Ins through Quidco. You can only earn about 18p per day through the clicks as onle High Street Web and Kelkoo allow you to do this. I did earn £20 yesterday by changing my British Gas tarrif through QUidco.

Ive got myself a bar job to earn extra money. I work full time already but now work 3 nights a week in my local pub. Its only £5.35 an hour but i get tips too :) Its not a great amount after tax but it all helps. Also it gets me out of the house and not spending on ebay or on the net in general. I also mystery shop in my lunch breaks and at weekends....LOL its no wonder i dont get much time to play here.

    Good Luck!

I recently responded to a link somewhere on MSE about writing for an, erm, 'adult' magazine. Last wkend I got a letter from them telling me that they were going to publish my stuff, so now I am a published writer, and I am expecting a (small) cheque from them soon.

    Hi,

If you are at home would it be possible to childmind for a few days a week?

If you are at all arts and crafts minded, you could always consider making cards/jewellry/ anything really and selling at local craft fairs/ carboots - the entry is usally only around £5 so you don't need to sell much to quickly get into profit with it.(and even in the worst case you don't sell, at least you've got birthday cards and prssies sorted out for the year!)

Another alternative might be to do a local college course in massage/nails etc (if you are not working you may be able to get this very discounted) and building up doing that.....

Good luck whatever direction you take - would be great to hear how you get on

i thought you had to be qualified and registered to childmind??

have just found out that my local Sainsburys are holding a carboot sale in aid of comic relief - i think you pay £5 to set up a stall and then the rest iof money you make is yours, so im thinking of doing that as we have quite a bit of stuff to sell - a pram/pushchair,side table, food proccessor, george forman rotissorie, lots of glass vases and ornament that we have no where to put, photo frames, baby toys and maybe more stuff if i have a good look around the house!!
whats the rule, if you havent used it in over a year get rid!!

also was thinking about cards and candles etc but im not very artistic so thats putting me off a bit - although i do think i would enjoy it!!

ill let you know whether i decide to do the carboot
(hope i did the quote thing right)

Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

Apparently the new magazine is out in late feb, but seeing as that has passed i am not sure. It's a bit risque to be posted here, and i assume my piece will appear both online and in the published version (which is subscription only I think).

    you do,
you cant just look after someones kids if you havent got the right papers and took the relevent training.

you could be the best person in the world to look after kids but without it been in writing then im afraid you cant do it.
