Oh heck!! You just need to find something to emulsify the oil without causing skin problems. I have used Carex & warm water on my cats to clean them when they can't reach (when heavily pregnant) but that is a different mess.

Will keep mulling it over, & post if anything occurs to me.

Well, she's dried out now and the combination of WUL/Sugar, then baby talc, then PaH foam non-rinse cat shampoo has worked! Well almost :D I'd say about 90% has gone, just a shadow left - if she was darker coloured, you wouldn't know it was there. I think I'll give the WUL/soap combo another go once her dinner has settled, that should get rid of most of the rest of it.

Thanks to everyone for your ideas and help! I hope this thread helps others with in future with the same problem :)

Please dont laugh, Use tomato sauce. Dont worry I know white and tomato dont go but a white Bichon Frise with oil on its coat isnt good. Toamto sauce did the trick.

I know many will laugh but it does work. I wont blaim you if you are loath to try it but I did and it worked xx

Good luck with whatever you use, I hope you get it all out xx

    Sorry, couldn't help laughing :p

I've got almost all of it out now, but I'll bear it in mind for future reference. Of course, I'm hoping there isn't going to be a requirement in the future, but knowing how naughty that Lulabelle is, I'm not going to hold my breath :D

I was only pulling your leg xx

I seriously will consider it in future, at least it will taste better than WUL/cat shampoo residue when the cat has a lick!

I know tomatoes can be poisonous to cats, but that's more when they're green, so ketchup should be OK. ;)

Reminds me of when my terrier figured rolling in some nice fresh tar was a good idea.......I mean, why would you.

Glad you have got it out,I used olive oil and sugar which EVENTUALLY worked, then kitten shampoo as had no idea if he'd burnt the skin underneath but luckily was ok,took him to vets who just laughed at him, checked his skin out and said I could use swarfega to get last bit out..........pets......lol
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
