Winter fuel allowance

I have deferred my pension does this mean I should claim my winter fuel allowance or will it automatically be paid to me. I was born 18.1.1951 so am due it this year

Yes, you can still get a Winter Fuel Payment when you have deferred your pension and for payment for winter 2012/13 were born prior to 05/07/51. However, unless you are receiving certain benefits (when payment will be made automatically) you will need to claim the payment
