Kwik Fit manufacturers service

I usually take my newish car to the dealership for annual servicing as it was on my way to work 8 miles away. The quote this year was £169.

As I`m unemployed and looking to save money everywhere, I phoned Kwit Fit down the road for a quote ( I can walk back), and was delighted to find that they offered a "manufacturers service" for £105 (for my particular car), which meets all the requirements of the manufacturer for the service manual stamp.

I was even more delighted when the dealership garage phoned me, and without any request from me agreed to not only price-match Kwit Fit, but pick up and drop off the car at my home! :j

Yeh but line 2 cars up side by side same spec and get the service books out... one stamped completely with 'ford' stamps and one with 'kiwk fit'... I know which I'd buy :)

i agree the fast fit place is making a mark in the market place and have more ata assured fitters so the job is likely to have been done more efficiently and with more care than the glass house who cares dealer

Fast fit places cannot offer the same service as a main dealer purely because they don't have access to stuff like ECU updates. You'll also find they don't stamp the body inspection part of a service book which is important if you need to make a claim because it starts to rust prematurely such as the MK3 Mondeo did with the rear doors on early ones.

isnt the £105 service just an oil change and they check lots of items and tell you they all need changing which is extra?

My parents were going to use them when i pointed out the online service information, They dont do a lot for that money.

No, it included everything. But I only have a very small Suzuki with extremely low mileage.

Having read the responses I`m pleased it went back to the dealer as I`ve only used KwitFit for tires before. Must admit it doesn`t feel any different, and I can usually tell after a service.
