Indeed. I'm still staggering from the revelation that at recent roadworks in my area, the night watchmen were being paid £2,000 per week each, just to sit in nice warm cars and listen to the radio. One car at each end of a road closure, teams in shifts.

We're not just addicted to entitlement - our government and the civil service are addicted to squandering our money.
