basic OR normal wage?

When working out statutory redundancy entitlement and pay in lieu of notice will they use my ‘basic’ wage or my ‘normal’ wage? My basic would be 40 hours a week whilst in reality, before being made reduntant due to insolvency, I was normally working between 55 – 60 hours a week which would make my redundancy award almost double. My contract stated my basic week was 40 hours but also stated that overtime including weekends was to be worked as well.

Its the basic wage. But it's pretty irrelevant - if your employer is insolvent then the RPS caps payment at £430 per week, no matter how much more your basic wage is.
