Equifax Taking Money Out of My Bank Account

Because I get so many junk mails from them that I just delete them. I just found this one by searching my Gmail for 'equifax'.
The email says:
To continue your subscription, log in to the Member Centre and update your payment details today.
I did not log in, or update payment details. Therefore i did not want to continue my subscription0 -
Not cancelled yet. Just really noticed and found this thread. Will be calling tomorrow though, along with my bank who I am disappointed with.0

If you delete the emails it's not their problem.
If they are unable to take payment they will suspend the service. They was able to take payment and the contract was being fulfilled by them supplying the service.
People need to learn about personal responsibility!!!!0 -
Ok you have to watch this lot,
I succesfully got some incorrectly taken payments returned after a well written email to their complaints dept: equifaxuk.custhelp.com
(you have to register separately from the main account to send in a complaint to them !)
I also mentioned the possibilty of contacting
financial-ombudsman.org.uk
Enquiries@financial-ombudsman.org.uk
That seemed to do the trick.0 -
I am shocked to see that this has been an ongoing issue with Equifax that they still have not resolved.
Account cancelled (on numerous occasions) and a year later £2.99 charged in spite of the account clearly having been cancelled.
Are the staff at the call centres on commission??
It is all and well good to say it is "only" £2.99, but this is money for food and bills for a lot of people in this country and I believe it is basically DISHONEST and MISLEADING for an international company to be behaving in this way. :mad:0 -
I imagine Equifax do not think there is anything they need to resolve.I am shocked to see that this has been an ongoing issue with Equifax that they still have not resolved.
Perhaps you cancelled your credit report subscription but overlooked your Identity Watch sub.Account cancelled (on numerous occasions) and a year later £2.99 charged in spite of the account clearly having been cancelled.
Identity Watch is free for the first year only.
Sorry, I have no idea. Are the staff at the call centres on commission??
Re-read post #2.It is all and well good to say it is "only" £2.99, but this is money for food and bills for a lot of people in this country and I believe it is basically DISHONEST and MISLEADING for an international company to be behaving in this way. :mad:0
