Just wondered if Ive not been very observant or if TSB have started delaying transfers between accounts online if made at the weekend or on BH?

I first noticed it when I made a transfer between one current account and another over Easter, and thought it might be that, but just done another transfer today, and its showing that the transaction will take place on 23rd (monday).

I always thought the great thing about online banking was that you could manage your money instantly, and Im sure if this delay had always been there I would have been court out before (like transfering some money between accounts to qualify for the vantage interest etc)

Ive just moved some money to pay my CC bill off, and I know Amex comes out instantly, and Im just not sure if the money has cleared, or it will not be cleared till monday, which would make me overdrawn for a day, any Advice welcome!

Any other tsb customers noticed this, or am I miles behind:o

Payments made by internet banking on a weekend or non bank working day have always shown on statements as leaving on the next bank working day as far as Lloyds are concerned.

    Thanks for your reply:o

Must have never noticed that before then! But it does mean the money has been transfered instantly like I expect though?

Must be that I'm too tired to think straight, nearly midnight on a saturday is probably not the best time to do it!:)

I'm still getting that pesky glitch where my bank statements are upside down every time i log in too. I was told that it was a preference that could be altered, but I have to alter it every time I go on!

Yes, and I do believe you have until 3.30pm on the first bank working day to correct any OD you may have so you're not charged, though I've never tested that theory ;-)

Transfers between accounts are instant, but show up as the next working day (eg. 23rd for transfers done today)

Payments will be made the next working day (eg. 23rd)

Your CC bill will be a payment.

I'll not risk being overdrawn, no need to hopefully.

Think the Amex goes as a baccs when i request 'as soon as possible' option, always seems pretty instant. Guess i could always pop mondays date for payment just in case. Ive still got plenty of time to pay it anyway! (Dont want to be paying any interest on my CC ever!:rotfl:)

Thanks all you MSE night owls for putting my mind to rest:T, and much embarrassment to me for never noticing the dates before,! Ive been doing internet baking for years, shame on me:o

The CC payment goes out now as a FPO.
The credit card will update its balance by the end of the next working day.
