Can anyone please tell me what is the maximum number of chat forums(like this one) can be placed on a website? Not sure how much space etc a forum requires and if there is any limit to having these on a website?

as in different sections like charaties and freebies or a full seperate board?

If seperate then you need to find out how many mysql databases you can have from your hosting. The amount is as many forums as you can have. If it is unlimited then you can have unlimited amount of forums

Many forums allow you to specify a database prefix, so if this is per install, you could in theory run many alongside each other.

Some forums, like this one, get busy, there would come a point that if even one forum got a lot of usage, the server would start to slow down. Some forums are terribly inefficient, so much so that shared hosting providers don't like them being installed.
