Ipod touch wont connect to wifi ?

Just got my son a new ipod and cannt get it to connect to the wifi - have tried 2 networks and kepp getting the activation server cannot be reached . Any ideas ??

Sounds to me like it's connecting to wifi but then failing to connect to Apple's activation server.
Try connecting it to itunes to activate it.How do I add a signature?0 -
Connect it through itunes to activate it, I've tried several things over wifi to activate it and always struggled.
If it's a new account you're doing, then I'd suggest you just create an itunes account online on a laptop, then log in through the itouch. That seemed to work best for me on a recent ipad.
