they have given me a £1,000 overdaft that just sits there and is never used. :D

I have a £3000 overdraft with Lloyds (never used) if I lower the overdraft by say £500.00 my existing Lloyds TSB credit card would let me increase it by £500.00 subject to the usual criteria.

You may want to decrease your overdraft to say £500.00 and apply for the CCard in a few months may open up more of a chance in being approved for you.

    Just a thought!
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

Suspect my application was auto declined, as worked out it was less than a month since my previous application after noting the dates they did updates from Experian.

This may be the reason for it being declined, though the information would have changed in that month on Friday.

Neither does a upgrade to Premier, which appearently goes on your internal score as was once told I was eligible for a premier account, despite adverse data at the time on the CRA, but I politely declined it when asked.

Upgrading current accounts does not go on credit score nor does it go on internal scoring, banks make millions from monthly subscriptions with it be a £5 £15 or £25 monthly account, so honestly take no notice of internal score to be upgraded as its not true.

Once you have been credit scored for a full current account it's basically now in the customers hands on which service they would like to choose and how much you are willing to pay and most banks will have this service with online banking where it says upgrade.

But there are many wallies about who spend £25 a month just to say or show they have the best bank account so they think, but really use the facilities of the £300 a year account.
