Starting an ironing business

Hi all!
I am thinking of starting an ironing business and was wondering if anyone on here has an ironing business and if so which insurers do you use? I have no idea where to even start to look for the best deals for insurance.
I was thinking of charging per item; that's what all the local ironing companies seem to do, so I'm going to have a look at their charges and price mine in a similar way.
And one more thing; one of my best friends does an ironing service as a second job to earn extra money and I worry that I might offend her by starting a service too. She has very loyal regular clients that she has had for years and years and of course I wouldn't dream of trying to pinch any customers from her. But I do worry I might upset her by starting up too...Still, I suppose I can't let something that might happen get in the way of me doing something I want to do can I?
Thanks for any advice

But if you search this board you will find some older threads about this very thing.
Two questions you have to ask yourself are: is there room for another ironing business? and if there is, why should people choose you rather than your friend / any of the other existing businesses?Signature removed for peace of mind0
