Tax credits and working

My husband works about 25 hours per week and received about £6k a year in wages, I'm not working and we have 3 children. I get an extra amount with our working tax and child tax as one of our children receives the disability element.
I am wondering what a couple can earn and still get full tax credits or any?? As I am trying to look for part time work, but just don't want to be worse off than what we are now.
Any advice is gratefully received

25 hours a week, at minimum wage of £6.08 an hour, is £7900 a year by my calculations.
I would imagine that you are gettting quite a high amount in tax credits, but I don't know how they would be affected if you get part time work. If household income is £26000, and there is one child, I believe that tax credits stop, so you are quite a way from that happening.0 -

Are you asking if it is worth working extra, but won't do so if you find that you are not that much better off?
Don't you think that if you have the ability to work you should do so and not consider if you would be just as well off by staying at home?
Some unlucky blighters have had their tax deducted from their wages and paid VAT on their purchases in order to provide you with WTC's. Don't you think that they wouldn't be happy with your idea of financial management?0 -
You won't be worse off working as tax credits are tapered - there's no cliff-edge. They might even go up, as if you work 5 hours or more you'd get the 30 hour element.
The cut-off in your circumstances is about £46k!0 -
